Paracress

Paracress (Acmella oleacea) originated in South America, where it is known as "jambú". In South America, the plant is used to add a certain spiciness to dishes.

The jambú plant also has a long tradition as a medicinal and beauty plant, as it also has analgesic and mildly anaesthetic properties. Scientists have discovered that these are caused by the bioactive substance "spilanthol".
